BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman claimed that widespread public support for the party has triggered envy and conspiracies from rival factions. Speaking virtually at BNP’s 31-Point State Reform Framework workshops held across Dhaka, Narayanganj, and Gazipur on Tuesday, he warned of infiltrators being planted within the party and urged members to remain vigilant.

Addressing thousands of party leaders and activists across the three districts, Tarique Rahman emphasized the importance of large-scale participation in BNP rallies and events to counter opposition propaganda. “The BNP currently enjoys the majority of public support in the country, and this has become a source of resentment for many, leading to various conspiracies against us,” he said.

He cautioned party members about the challenges ahead of the upcoming elections, stressing that it would be far more difficult than any previous election. “Do not underestimate this election; it will be the toughest we have ever faced. Prepare accordingly,” he warned.

Rahman further stated that BNP’s goal to “repair the state” would only be possible with public support and by securing victory in the next election. “Our 31-point reform plan requires people’s endorsement. Without their backing, all of our struggles and movements will be in vain.”

The workshops were attended by senior BNP leaders and thousands of activists. In Dhaka, the event was presided over by District BNP President Khandaker Abu Ashfaq, with speeches delivered by BNP Standing Committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, and other central leaders.

In Narayanganj, BNP leaders including Sultan Salahuddin Tuku and Muhammad Gias Uddin addressed attendees, while Gazipur’s session featured party leaders such as Ismail Zabihullah and Fazlul Haque Milon. The workshops aimed to strengthen organizational preparedness and gather support for BNP’s reform agenda in preparation for the upcoming election.
