Tarique Rahman Calls for a Prosperous Bangladesh for Future Generations

Tarique Rahman, the acting chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has called for the formation of a political government through elections to ensure the welfare of the people. Emphasizing the importance of building a prosperous Bangladesh for future generations, he made these remarks during the prize-giving ceremony of the Arafat Rahman Koko Memorial Cricket Tournament 2024, held in London on Sunday, May 18 (local time).
In his speech, Tarique Rahman highlighted the need for national unity, democratic progress, and sustainable development. He urged citizens from all political affiliations to work collectively for the nation’s betterment. Stressing the urgency of holding elections by December, he called for unity among all stakeholders.
Also speaking at the event were BNP Dhaka North member secretary Aminul Haque, the party’s central organizing secretary and former deputy minister for land Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu, Tarique Rahman’s advisor on foreign affairs Humayun Kabir, and Bogura BNP vice-president Mir Shahe Alam.
