BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi paid tribute to the National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam on Sunday morning (May 25), stating that Nazrul has been a source of inspiration behind recent national movements, including the July uprising. Speaking at the poet’s grave on the Dhaka University campus, where political leaders, cultural organizations, and admirers gathered with flowers to honor Nazrul on his birth anniversary, Rizvi emphasized that the rebellious spirit of Nazrul continues to guide the nation’s democratic struggles. He also criticized certain advisors within the interim government, accusing them of pursuing personal agendas instead of fulfilling their responsibilities. Rizvi warned that the public would not tolerate any attempt by advisors to deepen the ongoing political crisis.
