BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has said that not everyone may agree on reform proposals, emphasizing that no reform can succeed without mutual respect and unity. Speaking at an event at the Dhaka Reporters Unity on Saturday, June 21, he remarked that the ongoing discussions on reforms seem unclear to him. He pointed out that the opposition had already developed a 31-point framework through consensus and that trying to force reforms would be a dictatorial approach. He stressed that reforms cannot be imposed and that progress should be made with what is achievable through agreement.

Amir Khasru further noted that the success of any reform depends on respect and collective unity. He added that political power must be gained through elections, and he expects the current government to act as a neutral caretaker during the election period.

At the same event, BNP Standing Committee member Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku urged for national unity to form the next government. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the anti-fascist alliance, warning that failure to do so could once again lead the country down an undesirable path.
