Army Must Stay Prepared to Defend Sovereignty: Chief Advisor

Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus emphasized the need for military personnel to always be prepared to safeguard the nation’s sovereignty through realistic training that enhances operational skills, courage, and professionalism. Speaking at the “Army Maneuver Exercise 2024/25,” organized by the 55th Infantry Division at the Rajbari Military Training Area on Sunday (January 5) at 1:30 PM, he underscored the importance of modern and practical training.
Dr. Yunus praised the Bangladesh Army as a symbol of national pride and trust, urging soldiers to embody the motto “Training is the Best Welfare” and continuously adapt to modern demands to ensure operational readiness for protecting sovereignty.
During his visit to the exercise site, the Chief Advisor was received by Army Chief General Waqar-Uz-Zaman, Navy Chief Admiral M. Nazmul Hassan, Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan, and Major General J.M. Imdadul Islam of the Jessore Area.
Earlier, the Army Chief laid the foundation stone for an administrative building to support the stationed troops at the Rajbari Training Area. He also distributed winter clothing to the underprivileged, accompanied by senior military and civilian officials.
