Orion Infusion Leads with 6% Weekly Turnover

Orion Infusions Limited, a publicly listed company in the pharmaceuticals and chemical sector, topped the weekly trading list on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) last week, contributing 6.05% to the total turnover. On the last trading day, its share price declined by 0.56%, or Tk 2.20, closing at Tk 387.20 per share. Throughout the day, shares traded between Tk 370.30 and Tk 397.90, with 284,917 shares exchanged in 2,898 trades, generating a market turnover of Tk 10.94 crore. Over the past year, the share price ranged from Tk 217.20 to Tk 726.90.
In its unaudited financial report for the first quarter of FY2024 (July-September), Orion Infusions reported a drop in earnings per share (EPS), recording Tk 0.54 compared to Tk 0.66 in the same period last year. The net asset value per share (NAVPS) as of September 30, 2024, stood at Tk 15.99, while cash flow per share rose to Tk 0.20 from Tk 0.08 a year earlier.
Listed in 1994 and categorized as an “A” category company, Orion Infusions has Tk 100 crore in authorized capital and Tk 20.36 crore in paid-up capital, with reserves of Tk 11.09 crore. Of its 20.36 million shares, 40.61% are held by sponsors and directors, 5.21% by institutions, 0.05% by foreign investors, and 54.13% by general investors.
For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, the company declared a 12% cash dividend, with an EPS of Tk 2.08, NAVPS of Tk 15.45, and cash flow per share of Tk 2.82. In FY2023, it declared a 10% cash dividend with an EPS of Tk 2.06, NAVPS of Tk 14.32, and cash flow per share of Tk 2.98. In FY2022, the company issued a 20% cash dividend, achieving an EPS of Tk 2.10, NAVPS of Tk 14.22, and cash flow per share of Tk 2.23.
