Honour Martyrs, Build a Strong Bangladesh: Nazrul Islam Bhuiyan

On the occasion of the Great Victory Day, Ashiyan Group Chairman Nazrul Islam Bhuiyan expressed deep respect and gratitude to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Liberation War of 1971. The Victory Day observance began early Tuesday (December 16) with the hoisting of the national flag at a temporary memorial altar set up at Ashiyan Medical College.
After paying floral tributes to the martyrs, Nazrul Islam Bhuiyan addressed the gathering. In his speech, he said that on this Great Victory Day, the nation remembers with profound respect and gratitude all the martyrs who laid down their lives in the historic Liberation War of 1971. He noted that it is through their priceless sacrifice that Bangladesh achieved independence and sovereignty.
He further stated that the sacrifice of the martyrs is not merely a matter of past glory, but a responsibility for the present and a guideline for the future. According to him, the martyrs dreamed of a discrimination-free, humane and prosperous Bangladesh. He called upon everyone to work with honesty, patriotism and human values to realize that dream.
Mentioning the importance of upholding the ideals of the martyrs, Nazrul Islam Bhuiyan emphasized unity in serving the nation and its people. He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and expressed his commitment to building a strong, peaceful and developed Bangladesh guided by the spirit of the Liberation War.
Among others who paid tribute were Ashiyan Group Director Md. Jahidul Islam Bhuiyan, AAA Logistics Poishabazar Chairman Anamika Islam Bhuiyan, Ashiyan Education Limited CEO Brigadier General Khandaker Shafiur Rahman, Principal of Ashiyan Medical College Hospital Major General (Retd.) Professor Dr. Md. Mahbubur Rahman, Editor of Daily Manobkantha Shahidul Islam, Head of Online Department Farhad Shikder, Head of Crime Investigation Cell Al Baru Mustakim Nibir, Hospital Director Dr. Md. Abul Fazal, Deputy Directors Dr. Md. Nazmul Hasan and Chowdhury Mohammad Saddam, along with Milton Hossain from the Human Resources and Administration Department and representatives from Ashiyan Land Development, Ashiyan Medical College and Hospital, Ashiyan Food and Beverage, Rokeya Begum International School and College, AAA Logistics Poishabazar and Daily Manobkantha.
Following the tribute, a moment of silence was observed in memory of the martyrs. The program concluded with special prayers and supplications seeking forgiveness for the souls of the martyrs and peace, prosperity and well-being for the country and its people.
As part of the humanitarian aspect of the Victory Day observance, special meals were distributed among patients and their attendants at Ashiyan Medical College Hospital. Through this initiative, the joy of Victory Day was shared with compassion and solidarity.
The organizers said that the activities were carried out as part of their commitment to humanitarian service and social responsibility in line with the spirit of the Great Liberation War.
