Powerful Earthquake Hits Bangkok, 30-Story Building Crashes, 80 Workers Trapped

A 30-story under-construction skyscraper in Bangkok, Thailand’s capital, collapsed due to the impact of an earthquake. At least 80 workers are believed to be trapped under the rubble, and a search and rescue operation is currently underway.
On Friday, March 28, a powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar, which also caused tremors in Thailand’s capital. The earthquake caused extensive damage in many areas of the city.
The building, located to the north of Bangkok, collapsed at 1:40 PM local time. A video captured on a phone shows the moment the building crumbled, falling apart like a house of cards within seconds, turning into debris in the Chatujak district of the city.
