Bangladesh Political Process Discussed at Gulshan Meeting with US Envoy

A delegation led by Professor Dr. Ali Riaz, head of the Constitution Reform Commission and vice-chairman of the National Consensus Commission, held a meeting with Tracy Ann Jacobson, the Acting US Ambassador to Bangladesh.
The meeting took place on Tuesday (12 August) at the US ambassador’s official residence in Gulshan-2, starting shortly after 3:30 pm. Eric Gilan, Political Counsellor at the US Embassy, was also present.
From the Consensus Commission, Monir Haider, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser and commission member, along with several other members, attended the meeting.
According to a reliable source, discussions focused on Bangladesh’s current political situation, ensuring an inclusive political process, and fostering national unity.
