The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia, commonly known as Bahri, has strongly refuted allegations that it transported weapons to Israel.
In a statement released Monday on its official website, the company described the claims as “completely baseless” and “without foundation.”
Bahri reiterated its adherence to Saudi Arabia’s long-standing stance on the Palestinian issue and confirmed that it operates strictly within the framework of both domestic and international maritime laws.
The shipping firm emphasised that it has never delivered cargo to Israel or taken part in any activity connected to the country. It added that its operations are conducted under stringent monitoring and review procedures to ensure compliance with all regulations.
The company also warned that it may pursue legal measures against any false reports that could damage its reputation or misrepresent its policies.
This denial followed reports in Italian media suggesting that dock workers in Genoa had stopped a Bahri vessel, the Bahri Yanbu, which they alleged was transporting US-made weapons destined for Israel — a claim the company firmly rejected.
