National Election Open for Registered Parties: CEC

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) A.M.M. Nasir Uddin stated that the upcoming national election will include all registered political parties. He made this announcement during an event in Sylhet on Saturday morning, January 11.
The CEC mentioned that after receiving the Reform Commission’s report, the Election Commission will devise new plans regarding the registration of political parties. On the inclusion of expatriate voters, he noted that while it may not be possible to incorporate all expatriates in the first year, the process has begun, and all will eventually be included in the voter list in phases.
He assured that journalists would be allowed to work freely during the national elections and emphasized that anyone involved in financial corruption related to voter ID corrections in the past will be brought under the law.
