Extended Metro Rail Hours on Holidays

The schedule for Dhaka Metro Rail has been updated. Starting January 17, metro services on Fridays will commence at 3:00 PM instead of 3:30 PM. This change was announced by Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) through a revised timetable signed by the Deputy Manager (Administration). Although the updated schedule was issued on January 15, it was reported in the media on January 16.
Under the new schedule, the first train will depart from Uttara North Station at 3:00 PM, with the last train leaving at 9:00 PM. From Motijheel Station, the first train will depart at 3:20 PM, and the last train will leave at 9:40 PM. Trains will run every 10 minutes in both directions.
Ticket sales at Uttara North Station will start at 2:45 PM, while Motijheel Station will begin selling tickets at 3:05 PM. Additionally, passengers can purchase Rapid Pass cards or top up existing cards during these times. All other metro operations remain unchanged.
