Launch of New Student Organization Delayed Due to Protests by Disgruntled Members

The launch event of the new student organization, formed from the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, faced disruptions as disgruntled former members protested. A commotion broke out during the event.
The announcement was scheduled to take place at 3 PM on Wednesday in front of Madhur Canteen at Dhaka University, but delays occurred. Around 4 PM, a group of private university students arrived from Uttara and began protesting. They chanted slogans such as “Private-Private, No Discrimination,” “Burn Down DU’s Black Hand,” and “Break the DU Syndicate, We Reject Its Committee.”
Meanwhile, members of the new student organization countered with chants of “Education, Unity, Liberation.”
