The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has published a gazette titled “July Warriors,” listing the injured individuals from the 2024 mass uprising. Released on Thursday, the gazette includes the names of 493 injured people from across the country.
Signed by Deputy Secretary Haridas Thakur, the gazette was issued under the government’s authority as per Schedule-1 (Allocation of Business), Serial No. 23 of the Rules of Business 1996 of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs.
The ministry categorized the 493 severely injured individuals under Category “A” and announced that it will later release additional lists for Categories “B” and “C” based on the severity of injuries. The gazette includes details such as the medical case ID, names, parents’ names, and permanent addresses of those listed. The full list was published on the ministry’s website on Friday.
Earlier, on January 15, the government had published a gazette listing 834 martyrs from the mass uprising.
Based on these lists, the government will provide financial assistance to the families of those killed and to the injured individuals. Additionally, monthly allowances will be distributed based on the severity of injuries.
