The body of the child, who was a rape victim in Magura, will be transported to her ancestral home by a helicopter of the Army. A source from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed this information to Samakal on Thursday. The body will be transferred from the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka to Tejgaon Old Airport and then flown to Magura. The child’s funeral prayer will be held at 7 PM today at Nomani Maidan in Magura.

The eight-year-old girl, who was assaulted on March 5 while visiting her sister’s house in Magura, passed away at 1 PM today while receiving treatment at CMH. She had been in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at CMH, where her condition worsened despite efforts. The child had suffered cardiac arrests multiple times, with the latest occurring this morning.

Initially admitted to Magura Sadar Hospital, her condition deteriorated, and she was transferred to Faridpur Medical College Hospital and later to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. After her condition worsened further, she was put on life support and eventually transferred to CMH on March 8, where she was under treatment until her death.

The child’s mother filed a case, accusing four individuals, including her brother-in-law Sajib (18), his brother Ratul (17), their father Hitul Mia (42), and their mother Jabeda Begum (40), who have been arrested in connection with the assault.
