As Eid approaches, many working people return home to celebrate the festival, facing heavy travel congestion on roads, railways, and waterways. To ensure safe and smooth travel during this time, the police have issued guidelines for passengers, transport operators, and vehicle drivers.

For road travel, passengers are urged to plan their trips with enough time, avoid overloading vehicles, and refrain from traveling on the roofs of buses or cargo vehicles. Drivers are advised not to speed, ensure their vehicles are roadworthy, and avoid overtaking dangerously. Bus owners should ensure that drivers are skilled and healthy.

For water travel, passengers are cautioned not to overcrowd boats or travel on their roofs, especially in adverse weather. Boat operators should ensure proper safety measures and avoid operating during storms.

For rail travel, passengers are warned not to travel on train roofs or buffers and to be cautious of stone-throwing. The police have provided emergency contact numbers for various transport departments to report any incidents or seek assistance.
