Palestine Will Always Remember Bangladesh’s Support

In response to Israeli atrocities in Gaza, students and ordinary citizens across Bangladesh, including in Dhaka, have been holding protests and solidarity rallies. In a written statement issued Monday night (April 7), Palestinian Ambassador to Bangladesh, Yousef Ramadan, expressed deep gratitude for the support shown by the Bangladeshi people.
The ambassador said he closely observed the widespread demonstrations held in major cities, particularly in the capital. He was not surprised by the strong outcry from Bangladeshis against what he described as fascist oppression by Israeli forces against innocent children and women in Gaza. He praised the sincerity and humanity shown by the people of Bangladesh.
Through these protests, the ambassador noted, Bangladeshis have sent a powerful message to Palestinians and the world — that Gaza is not alone, and that people here stand in solidarity with those suffering. He stressed that this bond would remain, regardless of the cost, until Palestinians reclaim their land and freedom.
Ramadan further said that Bangladesh has earned a respected place in the history of Palestine for its unwavering support. He assured that the people of Palestine will never forget the generosity and compassion shown by Bangladeshis.
He concluded by affirming that as long as Palestinians have allies like the people of Bangladesh, they will never give up their just struggle. He vowed continued resistance against any form of colonization until full liberation is achieved.
