60km/h Storm Alert Issued, Which Districts Are at Risk?

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued a weather alert forecasting storms with rain and thunderstorms over five districts on Sunday, April 20. According to the warning, gusty or squally winds blowing from the west or northwest at speeds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour may temporarily sweep over Rangpur, Barisal, Noakhali, Cumilla, and Chattogram. As a result, inland river ports in these areas have been advised to hoist cautionary signal number 1. Another bulletin from the weather office indicated that over the next few days, all regions of the country may experience temporary gusts or squalls, accompanied by lightning, rainfall, or thunderstorms.
