Several teachers were dismissed from their duties at an SSC exam center in Savar, Dhaka, after being caught violating regulations during the ongoing examinations. The incident occurred on Monday during the mathematics exam at Savar Girls’ High School’s Center-2. According to local education officials, two contractual teachers—Enam Ahmed from Savar Girls’ High School and Tamal Hossain from Anis Memorial School—were immediately expelled for entering the exam center with Android mobile phones, which is strictly prohibited. Additionally, five more teachers were removed for negligence in duty. They include Md. Al Mahmud (Begunbari High School), Kamrunnahar Rumi (Gopalbari Navin Progoti School and College), Md. Imran Hossain (Badda High School and College), and Nupur Mallik and Rashida Begum (Bhakurta Union School and College). As a result of the overall mismanagement, the center secretary SM Rafiquzzaman was also relieved from his position and replaced by Monowara Akhter, an academic supervisor at the Savar Upazila Secondary Education Office. Upazila Education Officer Liaquat Ali confirmed the actions and emphasized that any irregularities during national examinations will not be tolerated.
