Major Damage as Fire Hits Jute Warehouse and Printing Press in Shastapur, Fatullah

A devastating fire broke out at a jute warehouse and a printing press in Fatullah, Narayanganj, early Tuesday (April 22) around 1:30 AM. The incident occurred near the Hazrat Shah Mazar area in Shastapur.
According to eyewitnesses, flames were first seen coming from a jute warehouse owned by Hridoy Ahmed. Locals rushed to the scene and attempted to control the blaze by pouring water around the warehouse. However, the fire soon spread to a nearby T-shirt printing press owned by Emran Mia. Residents then alerted the Narayanganj Fire Service.
Abdullah Al Arefin, Assistant Deputy Director of the Narayanganj Fire Service, confirmed the incident and said that two firefighting units brought the fire under control after two hours of effort. The cause of the fire and the extent of damage remain unknown, but assessments are underway.
