Chief Justice in Turkey for Global Symposium, UAE Next

Chief Justice Dr. Syed Refaat Ahmed has traveled to Turkey to attend an international symposium and will later visit the United Arab Emirates as a panel speaker at another global conference. On the morning of April 24, he departed Dhaka for Istanbul, confirmed Supreme Court spokesperson Md. Shafiqul Islam.
According to Supreme Court sources, the Chief Justice will participate in an international symposium held on April 25 at the historic Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul. The invitation to join the event was extended by the President of the Constitutional Court of Turkey on March 6.
Following the symposium, Dr. Ahmed is scheduled to attend another international conference on April 28 in the UAE, organized by New York University Abu Dhabi. He will serve as a panel speaker and also deliver a guiding speech during a workshop with students and faculty.
During his overseas visit, Justice Md. Ashfaqul Islam, the senior judge of the Appellate Division, will serve as the Acting Chief Justice.
