ATM Shamsul Huda Died at age 83

Former Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) ATM Shamsul Huda has passed away at the age of 83 (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un). He was taken to United Hospital in Gulshan on Saturday, July 5, where the attending doctors declared him dead upon arrival. His brother-in-law, Ashfaq Kaderi, confirmed that he was taken to the hospital around 9 AM from his residence. The body is currently in the morgue. His funeral prayer will be held after his daughter returns from the United States, followed by burial at Banani Graveyard. ATM Shamsul Huda served as the Chief Election Commissioner during the 9th parliamentary elections in Bangladesh.
