Indian PM mourns tragic accident in Bangladesh

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has conveyed deep condolences following the tragic crash of a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft in Uttara, Dhaka. The crash, which occurred on the premises of Milestone School and College, claimed at least 20 lives, including several students.

 

In a message shared on platform X (formerly Twitter) on Monday evening (July 21), Modi stated:

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic plane crash in Dhaka, which claimed many young lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with the grieving families.”

 

He further added:

“We wish the injured a speedy recovery. India stands in solidarity with Bangladesh and is ready to extend all possible assistance and support.”

 

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of Bangladesh, the fatalities include:

 

2 at Sheikh Hasina Burn Institute

 

12 at Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka

 

1 at Dhaka Medical College Hospital

 

2 at Kurmitola General Hospital

 

2 at Lubna General Hospital & Cardiac Center

 

1 at Uttara Adhunik Hospital
