Pak PM expresses grief over Uttara tragedy

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his profound sorrow over the tragic loss of lives in a military aircraft crash that occurred at Milestone School and College in Dhaka’s Diabari area.
On Monday, July 21, Sharif conveyed his condolences via a post on X (formerly Twitter).
“I am deeply saddened by the loss of lives in the tragic aircraft crash at Milestone School in Dhaka. My heartfelt condolences go out to the people of Bangladesh, especially to the families affected by this tragedy,” he wrote.
He further added that the government and people of Pakistan stand in solidarity with Bangladesh during this difficult time.
At least 20 deaths have been confirmed after a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crashed into the campus of Milestone School and College in Uttara. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that the aircraft took off at 1:06 PM before crashing shortly after. The Fire Service and Civil Defence reported receiving the alert at 1:22 PM, after which rescue operations began immediately. Over 150 individuals were reportedly injured in the incident.
