July Declaration Expected by August 5: Mahfuz Alam

An adviser to the interim government has hinted that the long-anticipated July Declaration may be officially unveiled by August 5.

 

On Friday night (August 1), Mahfuz Alam, the Adviser for Information and Broadcasting, shared a post on Facebook discussing the matter.

 

In his post, he wrote:

 

> “The July Declaration is now a reality. It will be announced by August 5. Thanks to everyone who kept this issue alive in public awareness and helped pave the way for its implementation.”

 

 

Meanwhile, the National Consensus Commission has prepared a draft titled “July National Charter 2025.” The draft was formulated based on input gathered through dialogues with various political parties and alliances. On Monday (July 28), the commission sent this draft to the respective parties for review.

 

The proposed charter outlines seven key commitments. If political parties agree on these points, the final charter may be signed soon.
