Leo Youth Camp ‘Jagoron’ Held in Gazipur to Promote Leadership and Unity

Hundreds of young members of Leo clubs from across Lions District 315B1, Bangladesh, participated in the two-day Leo Youth Camp 2026 titled “Jagoron”, held at Apon Bhubon Picnic & Shooting Spot in Pubail, Gazipur.

Organized by the Leo District Council 315B1 and sponsored by Lions District 315B1, the camp began on April 17 and concluded on April 18 with a series of leadership, sports, cultural, and fellowship activities.

The event was formally inaugurated by GAT Area Leader Kazi Saiful Islam and District Governor Dr. A.K.M. Sarwar Jahan Zamil. The opening ceremony featured the release of white doves and a flag salutation.

A parade of Leo clubs from different parts of the district was one of the key attractions of the opening day, as participants marched with banners and club colors.

Several sports competitions were held during the camp, including the 100-meter sprint, marble race, rope pull, and penalty shootout, with separate events for male and female participants.

A leadership development session was conducted by International Director Nazmul Haque, who spoke on the qualities of effective leadership, service, and responsibility. Participants also took part in an interactive discussion session.

The cultural segment of the camp included a Leo Talent Show, where members performed songs, dances, poetry, and drama.

A banquet ceremony, award distribution program, campfire, fireworks display, DJ party, and midnight barbecue were also arranged as part of the camp celebrations.

Awards were presented to winners of sports events, sponsors, and organizers in recognition of their contributions.

Organizers said the camp aimed to inspire young people through leadership training, teamwork, and friendship while strengthening the Leo movement across the district.
