Throughout the ages, we have witnessed that students from private universities in Bangladesh have taken to the streets to fight for their rights. In return, they have only received neglect, indifference, and discrimination. They, themselves, have become victims of inequality, either due to their own actions or the wrong leadership of Dhaka University.

I congratulate those who plan to form a new political party. However, with great sorrow, I must say that before forming a party, internal conflicts, infighting, and discrimination should not be part of any political party’s actions for the future.

1. Before forming a party, establish proper leadership. To lead the country and the nation, any student should appoint experienced political leaders. But I do not see such guardians in the current student leadership.

2. Coordinators across the country, who claim to represent the masses, are involved in corruption, extortion, and other malpractices. These issues need to be eliminated first, and a decision must be made to work for the welfare of the nation and its people. No student should face neglect or discrimination.

3. Those who fought in the July-August movement, who gave the country a breath of fresh air, and those who have become martyrs, or who are still in hospitals suffering from their injuries, should receive proper medical care. The blood of the martyrs has not yet dried, but their sacrifice is being undermined by the formation of new parties and advisory roles. This, I believe, is the core cause of discrimination from the July-August movement.

4. Dhaka University students have long exploited students from private universities, but in return, private university students have only suffered abuse and attacks.

5. True beauty lies in considering everyone. Hard work should be rewarded, and success should not be limited only to the talented youth of Dhaka University. This is the core issue of inequality, and it affects many.

We must break free from this culture in Bangladesh’s politics and society, whether in business or family. We need to work together for a better nation and family.

When the July-August movement spread throughout the country, supporting the democratic process, students from both public and private universities united on the streets. Even mothers and fathers came with their children, demanding one thing: the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government. After achieving success, we became divided among ourselves. Until this is addressed, no election or new political party can be properly organized in the country.

We, who have spent 17 years in small and large social organizations, fighting on the streets for a democratic state, have suffered jail time, torture, and lawsuits, ultimately achieving a free and sovereign country. Yet, at the time of this victory, a group of apolitical individuals seeks to gain political power for their own benefit. They must be avoided and replaced.

We must come together, bringing the past forward and uniting for a better future.

Attention of the Advisory Council and the Honorable Chief Advisor

We kindly request a response within 72 hours.

It is every citizen’s right to demand from the state. The state is responsible for addressing the demands of its citizens and engaging in constructive dialogue. However, when democratic processes are protested against, the individual must not face jail time, lawsuits, or any kind of retaliatory humiliation by the administration.
