356 People Hospitalised with Dengue in 24 Hours

356 New Dengue Cases Reported in 24 Hours, Total This Year Reaches 27,471

 

In the 24 hours up to Wednesday morning, 356 new dengue cases were reported, bringing the total number of cases this year to 27,471.

 

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) reported the following breakdown of new cases: 60 in Barishal Division, 68 in Chattogram Division, 20 in Rajshahi Division, 20 in Khulna Division, 4 in Mymensingh, 7 in Sylhet, 60 in Dhaka Division, 46 in Dhaka North City Corporation, and 71 in Dhaka South City Corporation.

No new deaths were reported during this period, keeping the total death toll at 105. Currently, 1,302 dengue patients are receiving treatment in hospitals across the country.

For comparison, last year dengue claimed 575 lives. DGHS reported 101,214 dengue cases in 2024, with 100,040 recoveries.
