On Tuesday, March 4, at 10 AM, NCP members gathered at the memorial to honor the fallen. The event was led by the party’s Convener, Md. Nahid Islam, and Member Secretary, Akhter Hossain, along with other central leaders.
Earlier in the morning, at 8 AM, NCP members also visited the National Martyrs’ Memorial to pay their respects.
Speaking at the event, Nahid Islam emphasized the need for a new constitutional framework and a parliamentary election to establish a fresh republic. He reaffirmed NCP’s commitment to fulfilling the aspirations of the Liberation War and other democratic movements.
Notably, the National Citizens’ Party was formally launched on February 28 with a massive rally at Manik Miah Avenue in Dhaka. Following the event, a 217-member partial convening committee was approved to steer the party forward.
