Zainul Abdin Farroque, advisor to the BNP Chairperson, has raised questions over the lack of accountability for those he says have committed grave crimes—alleging that some individuals have laughed while taking lives and looted the nation’s wealth, yet still face no justice.
Speaking at a protest organized by the Senbagh Nationalist Forum in front of the National Press Club on Saturday (April 12), Farroque demanded that former MP Morshed Alam be taken into remand and a full disclosure of his allegedly illicit assets be made public.
He also claimed that while some ruling party leaders have been arrested, they continue to enjoy privileges and are being shielded from prosecution.
Farroque further warned that there are ongoing efforts to delay the national election, urging the Chief Advisor to act swiftly. He emphasized the need for minimal reforms and holding the ruling party accountable to ensure a fair and timely electoral process.
