LPG Price Update: Increase or Decrease?

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) is set to announce the new prices for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for January 2025 today, January 2, as per a notice issued on January 1. The updated prices will reflect adjustments based on Saudi Aramco’s January contract price (CP) and will be effective for one month. The announcement, which will also include the new rates for autogas, is scheduled for 3 PM.
In 2024, LPG and autogas prices were revised 11 times—decreased on four occasions (April, May, June, and November), increased seven times (January, February, March, July, August, September, and October), and remained unchanged in December.
