Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that timely action will be taken against the relatives of ministers and parliamentarians who have become candidates by ignoring the party decision.

He said this at a press conference at the political office of the Awami League president in Dhanmondi on Wednesday morning.

Obaidul Quader said, “those who did not withdraw their candidacy in the upazila elections without following the instructions of the party, they can do so at any time before the elections.” There is an opportunity to take organizational action if the decision of the party is violated Teams take action considering their actions. Those who have not withdrawn will be decided in due course.

He said that disciplinary action will be taken if party instructions are disobeyed. This decision must be made in time.

Awami League general secretary said, “In our last general election, after the election, many did not become MPs, many did not become ministers.” Here too there is a matter of team decision making. Teams will judge their own actions. Those who do not withdraw till the final stage, the team will take action in time.
