BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman stated that the party aims to respond to repression not with vengeance but through the successful implementation of its 31-point reform plan. Addressing party members, he emphasized showcasing achievements to the public before the next election, saying, “We may not achieve everything, but we must present what we accomplish to the people.” Highlighting the sacrifices made by BNP members, including the loss of lives and homes during political movements, he urged the party to answer injustice through constructive reforms.

Speaking virtually at a workshop on the “31-point reform plan and public engagement” for BNP leaders from Tangail district, Gazipur, and Narayanganj, Tarique Rahman responded to various questions from party members. The workshops, held simultaneously in separate locations, discussed plans to address environmental issues, promote renewable energy, and ensure justice and administrative reforms.

Tarique Rahman reminded party members that gaining public trust through votes is crucial, urging them to demonstrate their commitment to the people’s welfare. He called for vigilance within the party to prevent internal disruptions and emphasized the importance of aligning party activities with public expectations. “The responsibility to maintain trust lies with us, not the people,” he noted.

He reiterated BNP’s commitment to addressing national issues, including democratic governance, judicial reforms, fair elections, and socio-economic development. The party plans to implement environmentally conscious initiatives, such as planting 50 million trees and raising awareness about waste management. Additionally, the plan includes restoring water bodies in industrial areas and addressing infrastructure modernization.

Senior BNP leaders at the event highlighted the historical significance of the party’s initiatives and the necessity of reforms for national progress. They underscored the need for unity, discipline, and a focus on public welfare to achieve long-term goals.
