Due to illness, BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia will not be able to attend the Nationalist Freedom Fighters Party’s rally scheduled for this Saturday. On Thursday, during a press conference at the BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan, the party’s Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir shared this information. He explained that Khaleda Zia had been unwell since the night before and, following medical advice, her participation in the rally was canceled. On November 21, she attended the Armed Forces Day event at the Sena Kunjo military base, accompanied by her younger son, the late Arafat Rahman Koko’s wife, Sharmila Rahman Sithi. Khaleda Zia last participated in a public political event in February 2018.
