Khaleda Zia to Leave for London on Dec 29

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is set to leave Dhaka for London on December 29 for medical treatment. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir confirmed the information on Sunday night, December 22, stating that preparations have been completed. He added that if everything proceeds as planned, Khaleda Zia will depart during the day with a team of four to five doctors, including members of her medical board.
Traveling with her will be Dr. Shahabuddin and her personal physician Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain, among others. Earlier, on October 29, Professor Zahid Hossain mentioned that Khaleda Zia would initially travel to London via a long-distance specialized air ambulance and might later be taken to a multidisciplinary medical center in a third country for advanced treatment, depending on her condition.
