Niki Ahmed’s Dance Legacy Honored with Global Star Award

Renowned dancer Niki Ahmed, who has previously received international recognition, has been honored with the Global Star Women’s Award on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2025.

 

The award ceremony took place on Saturday (March 9) at the IDEB Building in Kakrail, Dhaka, as part of a grand celebration for International Women’s Day. Former Supreme Court Justice Faisal Mahmud Faiz presented the Global Star Women’s Award 2024 to Niki Ahmed.

 

Expressing her joy, Niki Ahmed said, “It is always rewarding to receive recognition for one’s work. I sincerely thank the organizers for honoring me as a dancer. I hope to represent Bangladesh on the global stage in the coming days, and I seek everyone’s blessings for that.”

 

The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Professor Dr. Hamida Khanum from the Department of Zoology at Dhaka University, Professor Dr. Rebeka Sultana from Dhaka University, ATN Bangla’s advisor Ashiq Ahmed, veteran actress Rozina, CEO of Prothoma Bangladesh Abdur Razzak, senior actress Keya, and several women entrepreneurs.

 

It has been reported that on International Women’s Day, awards were presented to outstanding female entrepreneurs in 30 different categories across Bangladesh.
