Ban on Battery-Powered Auto-Rickshaws in Dhaka Suspended

The Chamber Court has issued a stay order (status quo) on the directive to ban the operation of battery-powered auto-rickshaws in Dhaka Metropolitan Area within three days. Justice Md. Rezaul Haque of the Appellate Division’s Chamber Judge Court issued the order today, Monday, November 25. As a result, there will be no immediate restrictions on the movement of battery-powered auto-rickshaws in Dhaka. Earlier, the state appealed against the High Court’s order. Deputy Attorney General Noor Mohammad Azmi confirmed this information.
