Army Chief’s Courtesy Meeting with Chief Advisor

Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman paid a courtesy visit to Interim Government Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus at the state guesthouse Jamuna on Wednesday. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) issued a press release detailing the meeting.
According to the statement, the Army Chief briefed the Chief Advisor on the country’s overall security situation and ongoing military activities. He also discussed various initiatives undertaken by the army to ensure national stability and development. Additionally, he provided insights into his recent visit to the Central African Republic, expressing hope that the trip would strengthen bilateral ties and military cooperation between the two nations.
The discussion also covered the evaluation and recommendations of a high-ranking panel regarding justice for previously deprived army officers. The Army Chief updated the Chief Advisor on the progress of an ongoing review concerning JCOs and other ranks who had been dismissed for various reasons. Furthermore, he informed him about the army’s efforts in providing medical assistance to students and civilians injured during the July-August mass uprising.
The Chief Advisor commended the army’s contributions and provided guidance for its future operations. He expressed confidence that the military would continue to uphold its professionalism and dedication to safeguarding national sovereignty and security.
