138 New Dengue Patients Hospitalized; No Deaths Reported in 24 Hours

In the past 24 hours, 164 people were admitted to hospitals across Bangladesh due to dengue fever, although no new deaths were reported during this period.
The update came from a bulletin issued by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Friday (August 1).
According to the bulletin, between Thursday morning (July 31) and Friday morning, Barishal Division recorded the highest number of new admissions with 49 cases. Dhaka city hospitals reported 27 cases, followed by 25 in the greater Dhaka Division (excluding the capital), 17 in Chattogram Division, and 10 each in Rajshahi and Khulna Divisions.
Since the beginning of the year, a total of 21,118 dengue patients have been hospitalized across the country. Of these, approximately 10,000 were admitted in July alone.
The official death toll for 2025 now stands at 83 — including 47 men and 36 women.
