Shakib Al Hasan’s cricket journey continues unabated, moving from one league to another and switching franchises, even as he cannot represent Bangladesh at the moment. The 38-year-old all-rounder remains busy in franchise cricket and is set to feature in Canada’s new T10 tournament, the Canada Super 60, representing the Montreal Tigers.

The six-team tournament is scheduled to begin on October 8. Shakib will be joined by international stars including Quinton de Kock, Martin Guptill, Moeen Ali, David Malan, Sikandar Raza, Piyush Chawla, and Rahmanullah Gurbaz.

The six teams—Brampton Blitz, Mississauga Masters, Montreal Tigers, Vancouver Kings, Toronto Sixers, and Whitework Warriors—will combine top global talent with Canadian players. Shakib’s Montreal Tigers teammates include familiar franchise league players like Josh Brown, Nick Hobson, Tom Moores, Isuru Udana, and Andrew Tye.

Shakib is not new to Canadian franchise cricket, having previously played for the Montreal Tigers in the Global T20 League.

Currently, Shakib is participating in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) for the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons. Reports suggest he could also appear in the U.S. Minor League Cricket later this year. The Bangladesh cricket star has been away from international cricket for some time, with his last appearance for the national team coming in September-October last year during the Kanpur Test against India.

The Canada Super 60 tournament will take place at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver from October 8 to 13, with ticket sales starting in the first week of September.
