The relevant committee has finalized the decision to cancel the registration of 96 election observation organizations registered under the Awami League government. A new registration process for election observation organizations will be initiated. This decision was made during a meeting of the Election Commission in preparation for the upcoming national parliamentary election.

The meeting, held on Thursday, March 20, at the Election Commission building, covered topics such as boundary redefinition, political party registration, election preparations for national and local government institutions, polling station establishment, preparation of panels for election officials, and beneficiary-level discussions. The meeting was led by Election Commissioner Anwarul Islam Sarkar.

The Commission has already decided to redefine electoral boundaries based on factors like voter numbers, geographical location, and administrative convenience. Around 400 applications from 64 districts have been received, with many requesting a return to boundaries from before 2008. The Election Commission is moving forward with preparations for the 15th National Parliament Election, scheduled for December.
