Pakistan’s military has reported shooting down 25 Israeli-made Harop drones launched by India over the past day, according to a press briefing by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday. The action follows recent Indian missile and drone strikes across several Pakistani cities, including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, and Azad Kashmir’s Muzaffarabad and Kotli. The ISPR called the attacks “cowardly” and said they reflect India’s panic after losing five jets and multiple positions during the recent escalation. Pakistan claims the drones were targeting air defense systems and military infrastructure. The military revealed that four soldiers were injured in one drone strike near Lahore and that debris from downed drones has been recovered from numerous regions. Additionally, one civilian was reported killed and another injured in southern Pakistan. The ISPR described India’s ongoing drone activity as a deliberate provocation, warning that such acts are destabilizing an already fragile region. India, meanwhile, acknowledged its drone operations, stating they were aimed at neutralizing Pakistani radar and defense systems. As tensions remain high along the Line of Control, both sides continue to exchange artillery fire, with Pakistan’s military on high alert.
