The Nationalist Student Party (Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal) has demanded the removal of individuals associated with fascism from the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB). In a statement sent to the media on Sunday, the party criticized the NCTB for failing to include the July popular uprising in the curriculum and for neglecting to teach students about the sacrifices of the martyrs.

The statement claimed that NCTB Chairman Professor Rabiul Kabir Chowdhury and Textbook Member Dr. Riyad Chowdhury are supporters of the fascist regime of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, with close ties to Education Minister Dipu Moni and State Minister for Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel. The student party argued that these officials are obstructing the accurate representation of history, particularly regarding the July uprising, and have called for their immediate removal by the interim government.

The statement further emphasized that it is the NCTB’s responsibility to ensure the younger generation is properly informed about the significance of the July uprising. The student leaders, Rakibul Islam Rakib and Nasir Uddin Nasir, expressed concerns that unless the fascist elements are removed, future generations will not be taught the correct history.
