Gold Price Drops by 1,049 Taka per Bhori

Gold prices in the domestic market have fallen by nearly one thousand taka per bhori, with silver prices also recording a decline. Following the reduction, the price of premium 22-carat gold has been set at Tk 226,807 per bhori.
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) announced the revised prices in a press release issued on Thursday night. The new rates will take effect from Friday.
Under the updated price structure, a bhori of 22-carat gold will be sold at Tk 226,807 starting Friday. The price of 21-carat gold has been fixed at Tk 216,484 per bhori, while 18-carat gold will sell for Tk 185,574. Gold made under the traditional method will be priced at Tk 154,665 per bhori.
Until Thursday, 22-carat gold was selling at Tk 227,856 per bhori. During the same period, 21-carat gold was priced at Tk 217,534, 18-carat gold at Tk 186,449, and traditional gold at Tk 155,423 per bhori.
This means prices will drop by Tk 1,049 per bhori for 22-carat gold, Tk 1,050 for 21-carat gold, Tk 875 for 18-carat gold, and Tk 758 for traditional gold from Friday.
Silver prices have also been reduced in the latest adjustment. The price of 22-carat silver has seen the highest cut of Tk 385 per bhori, bringing the new price to Tk 5,540. Meanwhile, 21-carat silver will cost Tk 5,307 per bhori after a reduction of Tk 350. The price of 18-carat silver has been lowered by Tk 292 to Tk 4,549 per bhori, and traditional silver has dropped by Tk 256 to Tk 3,383 per bhori.
