Messi Expands His Real Estate Footprint Across Miami

In South Florida, Lionel Messi is making his mark not just on the football pitch but also in the city’s luxury skyline. The Argentine superstar recently purchased four high-end condominiums at the under-construction 80-story Speryani Residences tower in the heart of Brickell, further cementing his ties to Miami.

Last year, Messi also acquired a residence at the Porsche Design Tower in Sunny Isles Beach, signaling a long-term commitment to living in South Florida. Since leaving PSG to join Inter Miami in 2023, the star’s contract runs through 2028, and his real estate activity suggests he has no immediate plans to leave.

Details of the Brickell Residences

Messi’s new units are part of the “Canaletto Collection,” a premium segment at Speryani Residences. The tower, located at 1420 South Miami Avenue, will feature 397 units ranging from one- to four-bedroom layouts, including just six penthouses spread across 18 floors. Reports indicate that at least one of Messi’s units spans roughly 3,500 square feet with four bedrooms, offering 360-degree panoramic views of Miami and Biscayne Bay.

The building promises extensive amenities: two resort-style pools with sundecks, a residents-only restaurant and private lounge, a spa with sauna and treatment rooms, golf simulators, a screening room, a modern fitness center, a pickleball court, and 24-hour catering service. Interiors are designed by London-based 1508 Design Studio, with architectural work by renowned firm Architektonica.

Messi’s Existing Properties

Messi already owns a 10,500-square-foot waterfront mansion in Fort Lauderdale, purchased for $1.7 million, featuring eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms, two docks, a 170-foot waterfront, a swimming pool, fitness room, spa, entertainment lounge, and office space. His previous acquisition at Sunny Isles Beach’s Porsche Design Tower includes a private car lift that transports vehicles directly to residents’ apartments.

Investment or Permanent Residence?

It is unclear whether all four units in Brickell are intended for Messi’s personal use or partly for investment purposes. The South Florida luxury condominium market has recently seen significant appreciation, making such acquisitions strategically advantageous. However, the locations Messi is choosing—proximity to Latin American culture, high-quality private schools, favorable climate, and a growing football hub—indicate more than just financial gain.

Since joining MLS, Messi has boosted Inter Miami’s brand profile, increased ticket sales, and contributed to Miami’s rise as a new football destination. His real estate acquisitions have expanded in parallel, establishing him as one of South Florida’s most influential figures in luxury property.
