Rejanur Rahman Takes Charge as Petrobangla Chairman

Rejanur Rahman, an additional secretary, has taken over as the Chairman of the Bangladesh Oil, Gas, and Mineral Corporation (Petrobangla) as of Thursday. Prior to this, he served as an additional secretary in the Ministry of Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources. Rejanur joined the 17th batch of the BCS (Administration) in 1998. Throughout his career, he has held significant administrative roles, including first-class magistrate, assistant commissioner (land), upazila executive officer, and Director of DDLG. He has also worked at the Ministry of Health, as the Director of the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC), and as the Director General of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). Rejanur holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and a Professional Master’s degree from ITC, Netherlands.
