The deadline for submitting asset declarations by all government employees in Bangladesh has been extended to February 15, as announced by the Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday, December 26, through a press release. According to the statement, government employees must submit their asset details in sealed envelopes to the relevant authority within this timeframe.

The requirement was introduced to curb corruption following the formation of an interim government. Under the Government Servants (Conduct) Rules, 1979, amended in 2002, approximately 1.5 million government employees were mandated to disclose their assets. Initially, the deadline for submission was November 30, which was later extended to December 31 before this latest extension.
