According to the weather office, from Wednesday (October 1), Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions may experience light to moderate showers accompanied by gusty winds and thunderstorms. Some areas could face heavier downpours.

On Thursday, during Bijoya Dashami, heavier to very heavy rain is likely in parts of Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Mymensingh, with Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet also expecting significant rainfall.

The Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre has cautioned that rivers in Chattogram, Sylhet, Rangpur, and Rajshahi divisions may swell rapidly, raising the risk of temporary flooding in low-lying areas.
