BNP Dhaka Metropolitan South Convener Rafiqul Alam Majnu declared that there will be no place for allies of fascism. He stated, “The killer of students and people, the looter, and the mafia leader Sheikh Hasina will be rendered irrelevant in Bangladesh’s politics forever.”
Majnu warned those dreaming of chaos, extortion, looting, and land-grabbing, saying, “Let me remind you, your dreams will soon turn into nightmares.”
On Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 2 PM, Rafiqul Alam Majnu presided over a workshop titled “The 31-Point Reform Plan Presented by Tarique Rahman and Public Engagement”, organized by BNP Dhaka Metropolitan South Dhanmondi Thana. The event, held near the lakeside at Zigatola Bus Stand, was conducted by Member Secretary Tanvir Ahmed Robin. The discussion featured several prominent speakers, including BNP’s International Affairs Secretary Barrister Nasir Uddin Asim, central leader Sheikh Rabiul Alam Rabi, Advisor to the Acting Chairman Mahdi Amin, International Affairs Committee Member Engineer Ishraque Hossain, as well as city leaders Harunur Rashid Harun, Abdus Sattar, Saidur Rahman Mintu, Mojibur Rahman Moju, Advocate Mokbul Hossain, and others.
Barrister Nasir Uddin Asim highlighted that BNP’s founder, President Ziaur Rahman, initiated the reform of Bangladesh’s socio-political and economic structures, which was continued by Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman. He emphasized that the ultimate culmination of this vision lies in implementing the 31-point reform agenda presented by Tarique Rahman.
Advisor Mahdi Amin stated that unelected governments have destroyed state institutions and dismantled the nation’s structures to consolidate power. He asserted the need for state reforms to make the governance system contemporary, welfare-oriented, and people-focused. BNP’s 31-point reform agenda is the roadmap to transforming Bangladesh into a prosperous and welfare-oriented state.
Member Secretary Tanvir Ahmed Robin stressed the importance of Tarique Rahman’s 31-point agenda as the only solution to elevate Bangladesh from its current state. He urged everyone to adopt the agenda and dedicate themselves to nation-building.
Engineer Ishraque Hossain, a member of BNP’s International Affairs Committee, referred to a United Nations report highlighting Sheikh Hasina’s atrocities, stating that the regime continues to issue threats instead of showing any remorse. He asserted, “A political party like Awami League has no right to function in this country. We will eradicate them through united resistance.”
Central leader Sheikh Rabiul Alam Rabi called for unity based on the 31-point agenda, urging everyone to set aside divisions and rebuild Bangladesh. He emphasized that sovereignty belongs to the people and reinstating their authority is the ultimate goal of BNP’s movement.
