Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader has stated that there is no need for reforms before the election, as such tasks are the responsibility of an elected government. Speaking at a discussion at the party’s Banani office on Thursday, he remarked, “Reforms should be undertaken by those who come to power after the elections. It’s better not to initiate reforms at this stage.”

He further expressed doubts about the government’s impartiality, highlighting a lack of public trust and accusing the government of discrimination. “If stability is desired, everyone must be allowed to participate in the election,” he emphasized.

Quader also pointed out the deteriorating condition of the country and the hardships faced by its people. He underscored the importance of an inclusive election involving all political parties, questioning the utility of continuous protests: “Should we just keep protesting? Where will that take the country?”

Regarding Jatiya Party’s participation in the upcoming election, he said it would depend on the prevailing situation.
